Workin’
Well, lookie there…. I found a use for AI that wasn’t stupid or lazy. What I’ve been working on is – well, just read the post. [Yes, it is music related!]

Well, lookie there…. I found a use for AI that wasn’t stupid or lazy. What I’ve been working on is – well, just read the post. [Yes, it is music related!]
Sunday afternoon, feeling a bit lost…. and how to decide what to do [hint? pretty much anything OTHER than watching TV or a social media screen…..]
Have you seen all the hype about podcasting? How people are breathlessly opining that YOU – YES< YOU – should start a podcast? Been there, done that. Thoughts about that, and a story or two about recent appearances on other podcasts.
Pondering all those people I’ve been associated with that were “just there” and “had always been there” who made things “just work”. I’m marvelling how clueless I was as a youngster….and wondering when I became “that person”. Sheesh…. that’s a lot of “double quotes”.
A response to the young DINKS [“double income no kids”] who were bragging about how “free” their life is on social media.
There are times to tussle with music in the trenches over a period of time, learning the stuff… and then there are times to take the shortcuts because there’s a deadline. Knowing which situation you find yourself in is a good thing.
YES, the pun is intentional. It bugs me when people apologize for puns….. MEAN it when you pun! A quick reminder of what this anti-blog is about, the rules under which I type, and yet another warning that this blog is created by dyslexia.
…in which the protaganist pontificates using multisyllabic words about constantly learning – sometime of his own volition, others from situations forced upon his weary but decidedly not bored brain.
You knew I’d get around to typing about AI sooner or later. As usual, an unusual take on AI and humanity. …..or maybe not. You decide!
Perceptions – especially about temperature… are often relative. Thoughts on that plus ducks and doughnuts.
Craig Anderton wrote a column by that title in the October 2023 edition of mix magazine. That sparked some thinking about how we hear music.
Branding, sure – but which part of my schizophrenic work life would I brand? Or is it easier to just be me, write about whatever [like I do here on TomsTypewriter.com], and get on with life?
Now that The Week Begins has dropped, AND the performance at Joey Stuckey’s Alive Day is done….. now what?
Some stories about the new album The Week Begins.
Some thoughts about stretching a tech budget at the Day Job. They’ve worked so far – who knows what we’ll be changing in the next few years? I certainly don’t.
This is what happens when someone who is considerably younger than 100 years old reads a book that is well over 100 years old.
Is this original?
“We humans can be so stupid” sounds like a clickbait opening line – but it isn’t. A Duke’s Mixture of sentences about gender, moon Pies, Chesterton, and…….wisdom?
A great way to start the day, I gotta say.
More [hopefully] accessibly deep music. BY THE WAY: I’ll be performing at Joey Stuckey’s Alive Day celebration on September 29th, 2023, at the Douglass Theater in downtown Macon. It’s a FREE show – starts in the EARLY evening [maybe as early as 6] – I’m the first act on the list. Come on down!
